Hollow Lantern

★★★★★ 4.6 Editor rating

Hollow Lantern is slow in the best way. You wander a fog-soaked town, poke at objects, and slowly piece together what happened to the people who left. The puzzles are logical rather than obtuse, and the atmosphere does a lot of the heavy lifting.

I loved how the game trusts you to notice things. There's no big arrow telling you where to go; instead you read notes, listen to the ambient sound, and follow your gut. When a puzzle finally clicked, it felt like a small victory.

It's short, maybe four hours, but every scene is crafted. A perfect pick for a rainy evening with headphones on.
